On the occasion of the centenary of its founding in 1925, the Armenia State Philharmonic Orchestra officially launches its 2026 New Year Concert China Tour across nine cities. Led by Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Eduard Topchjan, the Orchestra joins forces with an array of top Chinese and international artists including Shen Tianyi, Anush Nikoghosyan and Wu Bixia (Wuhan stop only). Blending the profound musical heritage of the Caucasian nations with European classical masterpieces, the Orchestra will present a transcendent cross-continental symphonic feast to Chinese music lovers.

This tour kicks off at the Changsha Concert Hall on December 27, and the orchestra will perform in Zhuhai, Liaoyang, Shengjing, Wuhan, Zibo, Baoji, Changshu, Wuxi and other cities in succession, culminating at the Wuxi Grand Theatre on January 7, 2026. The programme features a curated selection of masterpieces by Rossini, Glinka, Khachaturian, Strauss and other great composers, striking a perfect balance between classical refinement, artistic merit and the festive cheer of the New Year. A special bespoke repertoire is arranged for the Wuhan stop, where Wu Bixia will join the orchestra to perform The Nightingale, China in the Glow of Lights and other works, forging a brilliant artistic highlight that blends Chinese and Western musical traditions.
