Ballet Queen Zakharova and Violinist Repin in Pas-de-deuxfor Toes and Fingers

On October 31 and November 1, 2025, at 8:00 PM, the legendary artistic duo—Prima Ballerina Svetlana Zakharova and Virtuoso Violinist Vadim Repin—presented “Pas-de-deuxfor Toes and Fingers” at the Macao International Art Festival.

⚪ Svetlana Zakharova ⚪
  • Principal Dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet and La Scala
  • Commanding invitations from the world’s greatest companies
  • Celebrated by The New York Times as “the closest to a perfect ballerina,” by the Financial Times for her “miraculous line,” and by The Guardian as the “definitive ballet queen.”

⚪ Vadim Repin⚪
  • Acclaimed as the sole heir to the Russian violin school
  • Decorated as a French Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters
  • Hailed in his youth as the successor to Oistrakh
  • The legendary Yehudi Menuhin called him “the best, most perfect violinist I have ever heard.”
  • He has been Artistic Director of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival since 2013.

The concept began in 2018 with a Swiss festival curator’s vision to unite this romantic power couple on stage. Thanks to a friend’s relentless persuasion, Repin and Zakharova found consensus during a stroll along Lake Geneva, resolving to “unite the finest music with the finest dance.”

Their unique “concert-dance fusion,” the brainchild of that moment, quickly garnered international acclaim. From its Swiss premiere to a global tour, this ‘work of love’ crafted from stolen moments by the lake has enthralled audiences across the globe.

The performance will also be joined by esteemed principal dancers from the Bolshoi Ballet, including Mikhail Lobakhin, one of the company’s famed “golden trio”; Artem Belyakov, who attained the rank of principal at the Bolshoi at the age of 30; and Alexey Putintsev, a principal dancer of the company.
