He is the first Russian artist to claim victory at the Leeds International Piano Competition, hailed by The Times as the “Great Piano Poet”, and praised by music critic David Nice as “one of the rare pianists capable of delivering music with visceral resonance that reverberates throughout the audience”.

The repertoire Alexeev presents on this tour is a masterful fusion of “Russian epic grandeur” and “Polish romantic soul”. The first half strikes a deep chord in the audience’s hearts with the profound richness of Rachmaninoff’s works, while the second half soothes the early winter chill with the delicate nuances of Chopin’s pieces.
