Evita Zhang serves as the CEO and shareholder of Armstrong Music & Arts Asia, a leading cultural production and touring platform representing world-renowned artists and institutions including Vasily Petrenko / Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Zubin Mehta / Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Semyon Bychkov / Czech Philharmonic, San Francisco Opera, Mikhail Pletnev and the Russian National Orchestra, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, Joshua Bell, and Sheku Kanneh-Mason.

 

She leads the company’s overall strategy and operations across Asia, building a scalable touring and production platform delivering 200–300 performances annually. Acting as the key driver behind execution and deal structuring, she has transformed the company from a traditional agency into a revenue-generating cultural infrastructure, significantly enhancing its commercial capabilities. Under her leadership, the company achieved over 30% year-on-year revenue growth pre-pandemic.

 

Beyond touring, Evita strategically leverages cultural projects as an entry point to facilitate broader commercial collaborations, connecting sponsors, investors, and institutional partners. Her work consistently translates cultural engagement into sustainable business outcomes and cross-sector partnerships, positioning the company as a gateway for international institutions entering the Asian market.

 

She was awarded “10 Best Amazing Woman Leaders to Watch 2022” by Silicon Review, and is widely recognized as a key counterpart for international cultural institutions engaging with China. She also serves as an international cultural advisor to multiple theatres and city governments.

 

In 2019, she and her core team structured and executed a joint venture between Armstrong Music & Arts and Poly Theatre Group, the world’s largest theatre management company (80+ venues, 15,000+ performances annually), where she was appointed Executive General Manager. During her tenure, she helped establish a national-level cultural distribution platform and facilitated high-impact international projects across China and key global markets including Italy, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, US and Israel.She is widely regarded as a trusted partner in government-level cultural and institutional collaboration.

 

In addition to her executive role, Evita is an accomplished producer of large-scale cultural IP projects, including “Yuanyuan Tan and Her Friends – Magical Night at the Art Museum” (Top 3 dance productions in China, 2021), the China touring production of San Francisco Opera’s “Dream of the Red Chamber,” and immersive exhibition projects such as “The Lost Jimmy World.” Her production work focuses on IP commercialization, localization, and cross-market scalability.

 

She holds a degree in International Shipping and Logistics from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and began her career as a business analyst at eBaoTech, where she developed a strong foundation in analytical thinking and business structuring. The company was also an early talent hub connected to the founding team of Musical.ly (now TikTok), reflecting her early exposure to high-growth, entrepreneurial environments.
